The Importance of Contentment

November 5, 2023 / Pastor Brian Van Dyke / Philippians 4:10-13

The Importance of Contentment

Philippians 4:10-13

is a source of joy.

When we of and/or someone we ought to kindly act.

We shouldn’t expect our kindness to be .

Romans 13:8

We need to learn .

Matthew 6:24-34

We cannot experience true without contentment.

is the source of strength.

Matthew 16:24-25; Colossians 3:1-10

Think about it.

To be done during quiet time sometime this week. You are encouraged to talk about these questions with others.

  1. Do you know the joy that God offers? In what ways is the joy God offers evident in your life?
  2. Fully knowing the joy that God offers requires turning our lives over to Him completely. How well are you doing in turning your life over to Him?
  3. In what ways have you experienced God’s provision? Have you learned to be content with His provision? Why or why not?
  4. Do you trust enough in God’s provision to be overly kind to others?
