Gospel Truth

January 28, 2024 / Pastor Brian Van Dyke / Ephesians 1-3

Chapter 1
The Spiritual Blessings of True and Faithful Israel Through Jesus

1. They have been chosen to be and (Eph 1:4).

2. They have been as God’s children (Eph 1:5).

Rights and Privileges of God’s Children

      • and with God
      • life
      • and loving
      • and
      • and

3. They have been by His blood (Eph 1:7).

4. They have been their transgressions (Eph 1:7).

5. They have become the of Jesus (Eph 1:11).

The good news is… have now been granted access to these spiritual blessings (Eph 1:13-14).

The blessing of Jesus to Israel has been made available to all people everywhere.

Chapter 2
The Gospel

Everyone deserves the punishment of because of transgression and sin (Eph 2:1-3).

A way of punishment has been provided (Eph 2:4-7).

Salvation is and accessed by (Eph 2:8-9).

Salvation allows entrance into God’s (Eph 2:11-22).

Chapter 3
The Mystery of the Messiah

The purpose of the Messiah’s death was from the Israel (Eph 2:1-5).

The purpose of the Messiah’s death was so that would be included in the promises of true and faithful Israel (Eph 3:6).

Think about it

To be done during quiet time sometime this week. You are encouraged to talk about these questions with others.

  1. Are you experiencing the spiritual blessings outlined in Chapter 1? How? And if not, why do you think that is?
  2. Why is it important to understand that a follower of Christ has been adopted into the family of God?
  3. When people on the outside look at you, can they see that you are a child of God? How? If not, why?
  4. As a result of this week’s message, what decision do you need to make today?
