In Ephesians 5:21, “Be subject” means to the of others above personal wants and desires.

Wives and Husbands – Ephesians 5:22-33

Wives
    • Arrange your husband’s need to you above selfish desires.
    • your husband, to his leadership, and help him lead well.

Husbands,
    • Arrange your wife’s needs for and above your selfish desires.
    • your wife as Jesus His followers.

Children and Parents – Ephesians 6:1-4

Children
    • Arrange your parent’s need to above your selfish desires.
    • Be to them.

Parents
    • Arrange your child’s need to you as you prepare them for life above your selfish desires.

Employees and Employers – Ephesians 6:5-9

Employees

In hierarchal relationships, it is for everyone to be subject to one another.

  5. If you are an employer or employee, how would you rate yourself at meeting the other’s needs? How do you think you can do better?
