Work It Out!

September 3, 2023 / Pastor Tim Wagner / Philippians 2:12-13

Work It Out!!

Philippians 2:12-13

We should develop  as modeled by Jesus.

Obedience and  don’t change God’s mercy and grace.

Galatians 3:27

There are no  in the Bible.

The word translated  means to continue to work to full completion as in working a mine until all the available ore is recovered.

Build your  on the Word instead of trying to  the Word to fit your belief.

We should  how all these things go together in our lives as Christians.

Ephesians 2:8-10

We are not doing the good works to  anything for ourselves.

Galatians 2:8

God has work for  of us to do.

Heb. 13:20-21

Think about it.

To be done during quiet time sometime this week. You are encouraged to talk about these questions with others.

  1. How do you tend to view “works” in relation to salvations?
  2. Why does “working out your salvation” not conflict being saved by grace alone?
  3. How do works then tie into salvation?
  4. So what about you? Are you working out your salvation? If so, in what way? If not, why?
  5. How are you encouraged by this passage today?
