The Power of the Gospel:Confidence Within, Good Works Beyond

Paul urges in the truths of the Gospel. (Romans 10:14-15)

The Gospel the response of an altered life. (2 Corinthians 5:17; Romans 12:2; Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 2:22-24; Colossians 3:1-2; Matthew 6:33; 1 John 2:6; 1 Peter 1:14-16; 2 Corinthians 5:14-15; Philippians 1:21)

Good works are the of an altered life.

  • They are the of salvation, not the cause. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
  • They are of genuine faith. (James 2:17-18; Matthew 5:16)
  • They reflect Christian . (Colossians 1:10; Hebrews 10:24)
  • They are a reflection of God’s . (Titus 2:7; 1 Timothy 6:18; 2 Corinthians 9:8)

Good works are an essential part of the Christian . (2 Corinthians 5:14-15; Philippians 1:21)

Good works in practical terms: (1 Peter 1:15-16, Colossians 3:5-10, Galatians 5:13, Romans 12:15, 2 Corinthians 9:7, 1 Timothy 6:18, Matthew 28:19-20, Romans 10:14, Ephesians 4:32, Matthew 6:14-15, Colossians 3:23, Proverbs 10:9, Hebrews 10:24, 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Romans 13:1-2, Titus 3:1, James 1:27, Proverbs 31:8-9, 1 Peter 4:9, Hebrews 13:2, Matthew 5:16)

We are not only to do good works; we are to in good works. (Colossians 3:2; Hebrews 10:24; Galatians 6:9; Matthew 5:16)
